Acrylic on wood panel 8” x 8” 2016 This is a place I have frequented since I was in grade school when I first visited the Portland Art Museum nearby. I also walked through the park a lot in college and have great memories of the changing seasons and beautiful elm trees there.

Watercolor 9” x 12” 2015 This is another place close to the Portland Art Museum where there has been a public sculpture since 1984 called “Peace Chant” by Steve Gillman. As an art student I loved the presence of the piece and the fact that it was a place to rest and visit along the way when walking through the South Park Blocks.

Graphite and ink 9” x 12” 2016 This is the last of three old cherry trees in our backyard. We have watched the birds and squirrels play in them for 16 years since we’ve lived here and this one especially has had an endless fascination for me! I see it as a living sculpture!
