St Johns Bridge

Oil on canvas 18 x 24 2016 The most beautiful bridge in Portland! It’s definitely one of the most recognizable and most photographed and painted bridges in Portland! You can even get jewelry with the St Johns Bridge on it! I did a watercolor of this view first, then a larger painting of it.

St Johns Bridge

Oil on canvas 8” x 24” 2016 This painting was done en plein aire or on the scene from the West side. Peace Plaza

Watercolor 9” x 12” 2015 This is another place close to the Portland Art Museum where there has been a public sculpture since 1984 called “Peace Chant” by Steve Gillman. As an art student I loved the presence of the piece and the fact that it was a place to rest and visit along the way when walking through the South Park Blocks.

Old Cherry Tree

Graphite and ink 9” x 12” 2016 This is the last of three old cherry trees in our backyard. We have watched the birds and squirrels play in them for 16 years since we’ve lived here and this one especially has had an endless fascination for me! I see it as a living sculpture!
